Do You Use An Ebook Reader?

Today's question – do you use an ebook reader (Kindle, iBooks on iPhone or iPad, etc.) on any kind of "regular" basis. Do you prefer content printed ("dead tree edition") or do you like things better electronically?

    I read business books on paper, and have read my last 500 fiction books on e-readers…first on a Sony and more recently on a Kindle.

    I read non-fiction on GoodReader on my iPad and fiction on my Sony ereader

    I like to annotate non-fiction, GoodReader is good for that, though prefer the lighter ereader to just sit and speed through a novel.

    With business books I mark pages with a pencil and with sticky notes. When I want to refer back, it's much easier to just grab the book and find my place. I can do the same with a Kindle, but it's more of a hassle. No page numbers and harder to find the parts I marked. With fiction, I very rarely mark anything. I just read from the beginning to the end.

    I use the iPad for what magazines that I want that are available and for books. I haven't quite kicked my real book addiction but finding I am liking having virtual editions that don't take up physical room in my house. I enjoy using the iPad immensely as it not only is a beautiful reader but it provides so much access to other things and have no real desire to have additional reading devices.

    +Clifford Ball – do you find yourself dropping out of the reader and jumping over to some other diversion while on the iPad? That's my one complaint – totally my problem – but my one complaint so far …

    E-reader. I was very surprised at how much I started to like it and how it’s become my primary choice.

    I used to have great pride in my home library. Shameful but it worked for my ego. Since I started dealing with my ego and falling in love with the iPad reader and the idea of carrying my entire library in this 1.5 pound package, I have completely shifted to this amazing digital experience. I kind am liberated from having to move books around as I shift homes but it helped me shed my ego in some ways.

    Richard, sold my business library to a used book store a year or so ago. Was a great move for me at least.
