I've said it before and I'll say it again: There are really only two ways to look at tech – It is here to make our life HARDER (and our job is to tame it) or it is here to make our life EASIER (and our job is to make it do wonderful things). I believe all tech companies, at their core, fall into one of these two camps.
Which camp are you in?
Here's the funny thing … I'm starting to see a new camp rising to the top – the "believe it's here to make life easier but act like it's here to make life harder" camp. These are the ones who spend hours a week upkeeping their WordPress Sites and the types who spend hours debating the value of one Twitter client over a another (every week). These are the ones who wake up in a cold sweat at 2am that something might be broken instead of sleeping well at night knowing that the automation has kicked in.
Another example are those who hate their phone because it means people can "find them anywhere" who never think to simply not answer the phone when they don't want to.
Has tech trapped you in any way? Are you seeing others "trapped" as well?
