I certainly am interested in Marketing correctly on facebook, and most certainly in setting up my marketing correctly on facebook. My question (others may follow;-( :
Is it looked upon as a “should do” to put an optin on your “Welcome” ? on your facebook page?

    Sounds like a useful book.
I have students/customers/people I don’t know wanting to be friends on my personal page — how do I invite them to like my business page instead?

    Hello:

Thanks Paul and Amy for the upcoming seminar.

Unlike an e-mail newsletter and FB personal pages, Facebook Fan Pages appear to be rather “stagnant.” Personal pages seem to be more dynamic, in that posts will appear on friends’ walls. Without double posting announcements to a personal and business FB page, are there ways to get more people to view my Facebook fan page? I currently embed a widget on my main blog, which is helpful, but not as helpful as the personal pages or e-mail newsletters. All the best,Andrew DarlowEditor, The Imaging Buffetfacebook.com/andrewdarlow

Hey Amy–I’ve heard you can create a professional account for fb pages without a personal profile–is there any disadvantage to going that route? I don’t really want a personal profile anyway, but I’m willing to create one (and then “hide” it through the privacy settings) if that’s the only way to take advantage of the full functionality of fb pages for my business. Your thoughts?
    thanks a bunch,
    Rik

Hi, I am from Germany, so 3p Pacific will be much to late for me. When I take a look at e.g. XING or LinkedIn, then I have a lot of “friends” there, who I don’t find in facebook. On the other hand everyone tells me about the fantastic opportunity of making money in social media, esp. facebook. The only people I find there really active are companies, who earn their money with something around social media. So my somehow heretical questions: Is there currently really a business opportunity in facebook, or is it a business for facebook? Or is it maybe much too early for successful business in facebook, but it will certainly come over the years? Another discussion I have in my peer group is “search online, buy offline”. How can we monitor the switch between the channels?
    Best regards, Ludger

I have a personal profile and then added a fan with my business name. Unfortunately, people search for my name and post on my personal account not the fan page. How can I promote the fan page using my name without sending everyone to my personal page?

So it sounds like you can engage as your “page” instead of as your personal profile–isn’t that better anyway?

That was such a fun ride.
