iTunes Help Needed … Help My “Friend” …?

Posted on 7:35 pm by Paul Colligan

I have a “friend” who submitted a Podcast to iTunes.

He used a third-party system to produce the RSS for his Podcast. He has since submitted his Podcast to iTunes and has had it accepted. All is good, yes?

Well, no … he needs to replace that with another feed. But he has no access to the raw feed he submitted.

Anybody know what my friend can do? I.e., feed #1 needs to die, feed #2 needs to go in it’s place. He has no access to feed #1 anymore to make the changes in the RSS.

Any help for my friend?

All he needs do is register the new feed and once that has been accepted click the “report a concern” link within iTunes, explaining that there are two feeds and which one needs removing.
I have done this a couple of times, with iTunes responding by removing the older feed within a day or so.
