We Still Got Some Edjimucation To Be Doing …

Posted by Paul Colligan on Friday, August 18, 2006

This post comes with the understanding, feeling, that the customer is always right.

For many of us, the customer is the Podcaster listener / consumer.

Got a comment over at PodcastTools.com that kinda shook me.

First of all, I got the cool “click to play” feature in the post. I got all the subscriber buttons. I’ve made sure you can find me in iTunes, I’ve done “it all.”

Or so I thought.

The comment …

Is there a download link where I can download the podcast rather than listening to it on site?

I could look at this a zillion different ways but this time, I’m gonna say that I failed my customer.

Sorry Tom, hope my explanation helped. We’ll be working on Direct Download options soon.

I was just looking for a place to click to download some of your pages to listen to on my ipod while driving.
I don’t understand much about podcasts, (I really like yours), just learning, but that question was exactly what I was asking myself. Why did it upset you. I subscribed to feeds, (as I understand I will get future podcasts, is that right?)and see your buttons to listen now, but I want to listen to THIS one on my ipod, before I get future feeds.
I’m missing the point, I’m sure, but how did you fail your listeners?
