Apple Changes Podcasting Categories at iTunes
Posted on 4:01 pm by Paul ColliganSo I’m sitting next to Rick Klau from FeedBurner noticing that he’s spending a lot of time in the FeedBurner forum answering questions.
I just found out why.
Apple changed the category system within iTunes and, well, it’s a mess.
As of 16:57, Pacific, for instance the options for “Business” are
Management and Marketing together?
And, to make things more fun, there ain’t a stinking marketing Podcast in that area.
It’s a mess, FeedBurner knows, nobody told them, and now they gotta fix it over the holiday weekend.
It’s nice to have friends on your side.

Hi Paul,
Hopefully Rick has had a chance to tell you already (if he’s not too busy handing out stickers
but our updates for the new categories are now live at feedburner.com. Publishers should feel free to make modifications as they wish to their existing podcasts.
Here’s a simple post about it in our forums:

Have fun at Gnomedex!
