PodcasterSpace.com v2

by Paul Colligan on June 26, 2006

If I learned anything at the Corporate Podcasting Summit last week, I learned that Podcasters love to network. People paid good money just to spend time with other Podcasters.

Well, it shouldn’t be that complicated, or that expensive.

I introduced www.PodcasterSpace.com a few months back. The engine we used was pointlessly silly.

This new engine is considerably better.

Yes, you’ll need to re-register – but it will be very worth it.

Hi there - I'm one of Ning's Developer Advocates. Just a quick explanation of the problem you mention: The direction to look to the sidebar is because that's where users *used* to sign up until Friday night; the PodcasterSpace app was created before then. On Friday we released the major update which moved the sign-up link to the top of the screen. The main Group app (from which PodcasterSpace is cloned) has been updated with more accurate instructions.

Paul: if you want to update your App to the latest version (which has no major differences beyond that message change) then you can use the "Merge" feature from within the "Edit Source Code" page.

That's it from me other than to wish Paul the best of luck with PodcasterSpace, and to thank him for bringing it to Ning! (Oh, and if anyone has any Ning-related questions, I can be reached at yoz(at)ning.com.)
  • Ahhh...sign up in the top right corner. That doth maketh sense oh wise one.
  • Hmmm. The sign-up button at the far upper right side of the screen - that doesn't work for you?

There are a few "quirks" to this system.
  • What a cool idea. BTW, I consider myself to be a pretty bright gal, but I can't seem to find the button to sign up. I click on Add My Profile, then the next page says look for the sign up button on the right. However, the only thing on the right are Google Ads.

    Help!
