Hostway’s Podcast Hosting Package (More to Come?)

Posted on 11:17 am by Paul Colligan

Let the tidal waves begin …

Hostway announced (and launched) their Podcast hosting package. The long and short of it - $2.95 a month ($39.95 set-up fee). 2 gig of traffic, 50 meg of space and their “Podcasting Tool.

Verio was the first to announce - Hostway was the first to produce. Who will be next, and, more importantly, will they not be as lame as these two products?

2 gigs?! Whoa, don’t get too crazy there, Hostway. ;-)

Seriously, they obviously don’t know how podcasting works if they think that’s enough.

Why no mention of LibSyn or Hipcast/Audioblog, who have offered podcast hosting for ages?

Josh, great point. In my mind, this thread of companies offering hosting has been about the entry of “traditional” hosts in the space - i.e., the “competitors” to LibSyn and Hipcast - but I sure didn’t make that clear. Thanks!
