iTunes Season Pass –> Premium Podcasting
on Wednesday, March 29, 2006I’ve been saying this for more than a year now: media pushed down the Podcast channel will be a multi-multi-multi-million dollar industry.
It’s why I launched Premium Podcasting.
It’s why I’m in this industry.
It’s why I’ve ignored everything else for the last 15 months.
I’ll be seeing some ad revenue this year – but the place I’m very interested in playing in is that of the Premium Podcast. I guess that’s the information marketer in me.
In the news today – iTunes is now offering a “Season Pass” for some high profile television shows. You pay them $35 and you get a season of Lost pushed down to your computer (and iPod accordingly). I’m interested in content with a considerably higher ticket point – but the concept is now proven.
Or at least adopted by a company much bigger than me.
Look for more of this. Look for bigger tickets.
