Adam Curry Talks More MyPodshow Plans
by Paul Colligan on January 26, 2006
On today’s show, Adam Curry discussed some of the plans for the MyPodshow Web-based Podcatcher. Few interesting points (with my comments of course).
His first point – he exported from iTunes into this. Are they going to encourage people to leave iTunes?
MyPodshow listeners become “registered listeners.” His stated goal, get them “free $%**.” Privacy implications on this one will be interesting – but imagine the demographic information he can get (and sell).
All your feeds become a single feed that you can edit from the Web. How very Odeo. This needs to happen badly. Managing sets of subscriptions all over the place is such a pain in the neck. Hope he can get the meme to catch on. Business note – he can push an ad down that feed every now and then. Would be silly not to.
Oh Podfather, I’d love to be a beta tester.
